China's first urban gas hydrogen mixing comprehensive technology experimental platform landed in She

On January 10, the annual work summary and results conference of the national key research and development Plan "Hydrogen Energy Technology" key special project "Medium and low pressure pure hydrogen and hydrogen-doped gas pipeline Transportation and its Application Key Technologies" was held in Shenzhen. Relying on the national key research and development plan to build the country's first urban gas hydrogen mixed comprehensive science and technology experiment platform, has successfully supplied gas safely to Qiyuling living area for nearly 200 days, which marks the hydrogen into a new stage of development.
The meeting was hosted by Shenzhen Gas Group Co., LTD., Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal SASAC related office personnel, Representatives from China University of Petroleum (East China), Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Engineering, Sinopec Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering Design Co., LTD., Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Co., LTD., Guangdong Wanhe New Electric Co., Ltd. and other participants attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Wang Wenxiang, vice president and safety director of Shenzhen Gas, introduced that in 2021, under the organization of Professor Li Yuxing of China University of Petroleum (Huadong), Shenzhen Gas cooperated with 10 units participating in the meeting and was approved the 2021 national key research and development Plan "Hydrogen Energy Special", and the project progressed smoothly in accordance with the guidelines.
Project leader and chief scientist, Professor Li Yuxing of China University of Petroleum (East China) introduced that the project is divided into five topics, aiming at the intrinsic safety, process and integrity management and terminal application of medium and low pressure pure hydrogen and hydrogen-doped gas pipeline transmission system, through mechanism exploration, technology development, equipment research and development, software development, test platform development and other means. Break through the bottleneck of new theories, new methods, new technologies, new equipment and new software in medium and low pressure pure hydrogen and hydrogen-doped gas pipeline transportation and application, form a technical system with key equipment and process software as the core, and prepare a standard system around "pipeline transportation technology, pipe, test method", "emergency repair" and "combustion apparatus". The project relies on the science and technology test platform to build an industrial system with hydrogen energy community as a demonstration, and has successfully passed the mid-term inspection of the Ministry of Science and Technology in October 2023.
At the press conference, Yang Guang, the third person in charge of the project, vice president of Shenzhen Gas and professor level senior engineer, systematically introduced the results of the project - the country's first urban gas hydrogen mixing comprehensive science and technology experiment platform. The platform mainly includes mixing module, pressure reduction and regulation module, pipe compatibility evaluation module, gas appliance test module and terminal utilization module. Through the mixing module, hydrogen-doped gas can be obtained with a volume ratio of 5%-20% and hydrogen-doped accuracy of 1%. After the decompression and pressure regulation module, the pipe compatibility evaluation module is carried out for long period test. Then enter the gas appliance test module for verification; After the test is completed, hydrogen-doped gas enters the Qiyuling living area for utilization. The platform has now successfully supplied gas safely to the Qiyuling living area for nearly 200 days. As the first popularizable and replicable integrated platform for urban gas hydrogen blending, transportation and use in China, the platform integrates testing, verification and production functions, the hydrogen blending ratio reaches 20%, and the pressure range covers the entire pressure operating range of urban gas. With a hydrogen area of 85,000 square meters and a hydrogen population of more than 4,000 people, the wide pressure, long cycle and large-scale application of hydrogen-doped gas have been realized. This marks a new stage of development for the hydrogen industry. In the future, the promotion and trial will be further expanded according to the actual operation situation.
In December 2021, Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission issued the "Shenzhen Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Plan (2021-2025)", proposing that by 2025, Shenzhen will form a relatively complete hydrogen energy industry development ecosystem, build a hydrogen energy industry technology source, advanced manufacturing cluster, multi-scenario application demonstration base, and realize the commercial application of hydrogen energy. The scale of the hydrogen energy industry reached 50 billion yuan.
